Proposta de estudantes do POLIMI para a EXPO 2015, em Milão, recebe primeiro prêmio no 11º Seminário Internacional do NUTAU 2016, em São Paulo
Proposal by students from POLIMI for the 2015 EXPO, in Milan, receives the first prize at the 11th International Seminar NUTAU 2016, in Sao Paulo
A cidade italiana de Milão e São Paulo são 'Cidades Irmãs' desde 1962, tendo seu vínculo imortalizado pela 'Praça Cidade de Milão', construída no mesmo ano ao lado do Parque Ibirapuera, na capital paulista, e por outro espaço público, em Milão, o 'Largo São Paulo', também desta época. Mais de 50 anos depois, no 11º Seminário Internacional NUTAU 2016 - 'Águas: projetos e tecnologias para o território sustentável', um trabalho acadêmico da universidade POLIMI - Politécnico de Milão foi o vencedor do primeiro prêmio outorgado pelo NUTAU/USP - Núcleo de Pesquisa em Tecnologia da Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo, no seu segmento de 'Projetos Acadêmicos'. A proposta premiada, desenvolvida no curso de Master 'Arquitetura e Território Sustentáveis' no Politécnico - sob a supervisão dos seus Professores Titulares, Cesare Blasi e Gabriella Padovano(Diretores Internacionais da e-DAU para a Itália) -, pelos estudantes Francesco Corvino e Maria Valentina Cosani, visou constituir-se numa alternativa arquitetônica/urbanística àquela adotada para a EXPO 2015, realizada naquele ano.
Imaginada como uma forma de revitalizar a região noroeste da metrópole milanesa, caracterizada pela degradação urbana, a proposta foi concebida para criar uma força motora capaz de ofertar aos cidadãos a possibilidade de uma re-apropriação territorial, com suas riquezas ambientais, paisagísticas, históricas, etc.. Entende a EXPO como a oportunidade de se construir um todo complexo e sustentável, de novos espaços e atividades diversificadas numa configuração territorial fluida e dinâmica, incluindo os polos mais problemáticos da região. Permitindo mutações por meio dos futuros acréscimos, a estratégia do projeto é reunir múltiplos usos na área eminentemente industrial de Rho, dentro de uma estrutura abrangente e inovadora.

The Italian city of Milan and Sao Paulo are 'Sister Cities' since 1962, having their link immortalized by the 'City of Milan Square', built in the same year at the side of the Ibirapuera Park, in the Paulista capital, and by another public space, in Milan, the 'São Paulo Plaza', also of the same time. More than 50 years later, at the 11th International Seminar NUTAU 2016 - 'Waters: designs and technologies for the sustainable territory', an academic work from the POLIMI - Milan Polytechnic was the winner of the first prize given by NUTAU/USP - Nucleus of Research in the Technology of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Sao Paulo, in its 'Academic Designs' section. The winning proposal, developed in the Master Class 'Sustainable Architecture and Territory' at the Polytechnic - under the supervision of its Full Professors, Cesare Blasi and Gabriella Padovano (International Directors at e-DAU for Italy) -, by the students Francesco Corvino and Maria Valentina Cosani, aimed at constituting an architectural/urbanistic alternative to the one adopted for the EXPO 2015, held that year.
Imagined as a form of revitalization of the northwestern region of the Milanese metropolis, charcterized by urban degradation, the proposal was intended to create an energy power able to offer citizens the possibility of a territorial reappropriation, with its environmental, landscape, historical etc. wealth. it conceives the EXPO as the opportunity of construing a complex and sustainable whole, of new spaces and diversified activities within a fluid and dynamic configuration, including the most troublesome poles in the region. Allowing mutations through future additions, the strategy of the design is to join multiple uses in the mostly industrial area of the Rho, within an ample and innovative structure.
