Um dos mais renomados e aclamados arquitetos e urbanistas brasileiro, Walfredo Antunes de Oliveira Filho, ou simplesmente Walfredo Antunes para seus colegas, assumiu o cargo de Presidente da rede e-DAU (Biênio 2021-2022), somando a isso também sua direção estadual em Tocantins, Brasil, a partir de 2019. Morador em Palmas, capital do Estado e cidade que criou, Walfredo vem seguindo o seu desenvolvimento urbano desde a concepção de seu plano urbanístico, em co-autoria com o colega Luiz Fernando Cruvinel Teixeira. Também assinou, junto a outros integrantes do GRUPOQUATRO, escritório baseado em Goiânia, GO, Brasil, o projeto da obra para o Palco Araguaia, Tribunal de Justiça, além da sede da Assembléia Legislativa de Tocantins e da Biblioteca da Universidade Federal do Estado de Goiás. Essas obras lhe deram a possibilidade de atuar como Diretor-Presidente do INDUR-GO - Instituto de Desenvolvimento Urbano e Regional de Goiás (1975-1979), Diretor-Presidente do IPLAN - Instituto de Pesquisa e Planejamento de Goiânia (1980-1981) e Presidente do IPUP/Palmas - Instituto de Planejamento Urbano de Palmas (2018-2019). Com mestrado em urbanismo obtido na Universidade de Londres, Inglaterra (1980), Antunes leciona, desde 2004, na FAU/UFT Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade Federal do Tocantins, e é doutorando junto à FAULisboa, em Portugal.. Desejamos ao nosso novo e brilhante Presidente uma gestão memorável, consolidando a presença da rede no território nacional e estendendo-a para outros países, principalmente nas Américas. Contará, certamente, com o apoio irrestrito dos demais membros da rede, pelo seu carisma, ampla experiência institucional e ética profissional e acadêmica.
One of the most renowned and acclaimed Brazilian architects and urbanists, Walfredo Antunes de Oliveira Filho, or simply Walfredo Antures for his peers, took over the position of President of the e-DAU network (2021-2022 Biennium), adding to this the state direction in Tocantins, Brazil, as from 2019. dweller in Palmas, capital of the State and city which he created, Walfredo has been following its urban development since the conception of its urban master plan, in co-authorship with his colleague Luiz Fernando Cruvinel Teixeira. He also signed, together with other partners at GRUPOQUATRO, an office based in Goiânia, GO, Brazil, the design for the Araguaia Stage, Justice Court, in addition to the headquarters for the legislative Assembly of Tocantins and the Library of the Federal University of the State of Goiás. These works gave him the possibility of taking over the Presidency of INDUR-GO - Institute of Urban and Regional Development of Goiás (1975-1979), IPLAN - Institute of Research and Planning of Goiânia (1980-1981) and IPUP/Palmas - Institute of Urban Planning of palmas (2018-2019). With a master's degree in urbanism from the University of London, England (1980), Antunes teaches, since 2004, at FAU/UFT - School of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Tocantins, and is a doctoral candidate at FAULisboa, in Portugal. We wish our new and brilliant President a remarkable management, consolidating the presence of the network in the national territory and extending it to foreign countries, principally in the Americas. He will certainly count on the unrestrained support by the other members of the network, for his charisma, wide institutional experience and professional and academic ethics.
