Geobiology and Design: Roberta de Mello Freire discussed this interdisciplinary relationship
Em tempos de mudança climática, a arquiteta e urbanista Roberta de Mello Freire, Coordenadora de Geobiologia em Projetos da rede e-DAU, dirigiu uma importante live sobre o tema "Geobiologia em Design, Arquitetura e Urbanismo", realizada no dia 16 de fevereiro de 2023, dentro da série de palestras e debates técnicos online promovidos pela rede. Roberta explicou a importância deste tema para a elaboração de projetos através de uma análise geofísica do terreno ou imóvel e o possível impacto para seus usuários, em busca de um maior equilibrio e saudabilidade para estes espaços e seus objetivos. No debate que seguiu a sua competente e objetiva apresentação, os presentes - entre os quais as doutoras Gleice Elali, Ivanise Lo Turco e o coordenador da série, Dr. Bruno Roberto Padovano -, reconheceram a importância de uma visão interdisciplinar na prática contemporânea e complexa de projetos, em busca da sustentabilidade. A e-DAU pretende envolver Roberta no estudo para a Megacidade Artica no Estreito de Bering, onde a geobiologia poderá ajudar a realização de um projeto adequado ao ambiente local, caracterizado por extremos climáticos e geologia complexa.
In times of climate change, architect and urbanist Roberta de Mello Freire, Coordinator of Geobiology in Design at the e-DAU network, directed an important live on the theme "Geobiology in Design, Architecture and Urbanism", held on February 16, 2023, within the series of lectures and technical debates online promoted by the network. Roberta explained the importance of this theme for the design approach through a geophysical analysis of the site or building and the the possible impact on its users, in the search for greater balance and healthiness for these spaces and their objectives. In the debate following her competent and objective presentation, those present on the occasion - amongst whom doctors Gleice Elali and Ivanise Lo Turco and the coordinator of the series, Dr. Bruno Roberto Padovano -, acknowledged the importance of an interdisciplinry approach in contemporary design, towrds sustainability. The e-DAU team intends envolving Roberta in the study for the Artica Megacity in the Bering Strait, where geobiology may help an adequate design to the local environment, characterized by climatic extremes and complex geology.
