O arquiteto e urbanista João Otávio Kauling Dagnoni assumiu a Direção Regional da rede e-DAU em Blumenau, SC, Brasil (pop. de aprox. 360.000 habitantes), reforçando a estrutura existente no estado de Santa Catarina, sob a direção do arquiteto e urbanista Jaques Suchodolski (Florianópolis). Colonizada por um pequeno grupo de colonos alemães em 1850 e recebendo em seguida um grande contingente de imigrantes italianos e poloneses, a cidade é famosa pela sua 'Oktoberfest', um festival típico de origem alemã, e é considerada a capital brasileira da cerveja. Sua arquitetura mistura o neo-vernacular alemão do estilo Enxaimel com o Modernismo, com a cidade apresentando uma bela arborização urbana, a forte presença do rio Itajaí-Açu e uma alta qualidade de vida.
The architect and urbanist João Otávio Kauling Dagnoni took over the Regional Direction of the e-DAU network in Blumenau, SC, Brazil (pop. of approx. 360.000 inhabitants), strengthening the existing structure in the state of Santa Catarina, under the direction of architect and urbanist Jaques Suchodolski (Florianópolis). Colonized by a small group of German settlers in 1850, and receiving subsequently a large contingent of Italian and Polish immigrants , the city is famous for its 'Oktoberfest', a typical festival of German origin, and is considered the Brazilian capital of beer. Its architecture mixes the German Enxaimel-style vernacular with Modernism, with the city displaying a beautiful urban florestation, the significant presence of the Itajaí-Açu river and a high quality of life.
